SAMBA User management on HPUX

I recently just set up SAMBA to start replacing NFS. I created generic users and have asked sql admins and oracle admins to come by my desk and brought up SWAT on my PC to set up passwords.
In the future I foresee SAMBA replacing users who currently are using ftp to go into their home direcories to move files to Windows.

My problem is that it seems kind of silly having users come by my desk to set up a SAMBA password. Is there anyway I can set up a simple password that they can use once, and then be prompted to change their temp. password to a permanant one (like other programs do)?
