Where is smb.conf located in HPUX 11.11?

try "find / -name smb.conf"

/opt/samba/lib/smb.conf?

All unix flavours are exactly the same . . . . . . . . . . for end users anyway.

Mine is at /etc/opt/samba/smb.conf

Thats a pretty current CIFS install on top of 11.11, pretty recent, heavily patched release.

If you installed off source code, the location might be different.

You can have installed anywhere you choose, but the default for smb.conf if is under /etc/opt/samba

A search of the system will tell you where.

# find / -name "*smb.conf*" -print
