SAN error

hello,
can you tell me what this error means. i guess it is from SAN.

OS Error: vxfs: mesg 056: vx_dataioerr -
/dev/vge14/oindex1 file system file data read

I/O error means just that: the disk has failed to read correctly. If this is a SAN, it is a lot more complicated than fixing a bad disk since the SAN is supposed to transparently handle all hardware errors. You'll need to contact your SAN administrator to look at the SAN logs, fix the problem and then repair the damage to the filesystem and/or files.

HI:

Have you tried ioscan -fnC disk to see if you are acessing the LUN├В┬┤S ?
If you are getting NO HDW messages, you got a problem, with the fiber, the switch, etc..
I agree you should contact your storage administrator
