SAN Multipathing with HP-UX v3
Hi,
With HP-UX v2 we used Securepath to handle multiple paths in a SAN. With Securepath it was possible to set up load balancing with different policies based on round robin, least service time etc..
In HP-UX v3 the multipathing software is integral to the operating system. Is it possible to set up the multipathing software load balancing policy, and how does one do this?
Thanks
Andrew

Re: SAN Multipathing with HP-UX v3
11.31 can even do this.
To get the current setting use (for example disk3):
# scsimgr get_info -D /dev/rdisk/disk3
...
IO load balance policy = least_cmd_load
...
Use
# scsimgr set_attr ...
to change changeable settings.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
