SAP & serviceguide

Dears,
I have two hosts running the HPUX 11.31 OS. And I want to run a SAP on them.I've try to use the traditional Oracle script in Toolkit to manage the cluster but failed.Someone told me there are many special scripts for SAP,isn't there?

Best regards & Thanks

Re: SAP & serviceguide

try to check the /etc/cmclcuster/PKG/PKG.cntl.log file for more info what kind of information is missing while runnning the pkg via cluster, it will give insight to pinpoint the missing information in customer define commmand.

Even you can check :
/var/adm/syslogs/syslog.log

Re: SAP & serviceguide

There is indeed an additional toolit for SAP in a Serviceguard environment, it is called Serviceguard Extentions for SAP, or SGeSAP

Re: SAP & serviceguide

I am sorry but i could not get you completely.

>> have two hosts running the HPUX 11.31 OS. And I want to run a SAP on them

Does this mean that you do not have service guard and want to run SAP on both like cluster.
OR
You want to run SAP on both machine individually.

>>I've try to use the traditional Oracle script in Toolkit to manage the cluster but failed

Are you trying to use the scripts similar to pkg.ctl file without service guard.

>>but it failed.

can you tell us the error with more information.
