Hi,

when i start my hp machine I see an error message like this:

/sbin/rc: failed to read row and column info from screen

All scripts starts fine.

Is this crtical ?

So far i have only an ASCII Terminal (vt100). Have i adjust any config-file that the message vanishs ?

I don't think this is critical .. suspect the terminal may have some incorect setting somewhere .....

You could change LIST_MODE ( /etc/rc.config.d/list_mode ) to line oriented mode.
This would prevent the appearance of the message I think ....
