schedcpu process

I get the following when I run the top command on my server (HP UX 11.23). Can anyone tell me what schedcpu is and what it does?

COMMAND schedcpu

all you need to know is that (as Dennis said), it's a kernel daemon and you shludn't touch it!

Actually schedcpu is repsonsible for adjusting thread priorities and balancing threads across available run queues (i.e. CPUs/Cores)

I believe that it is a process related with adjust thread priority , with its percentage of CPU utility and priority and Process ID.

in detail:
Every 1 second, schedcpu() decrements the kt_cpu value for each thread on the run queue. setpri() is called to calculate a new priority of the current thread being examined in the schedcpu()
