scsi "stack"

Pls, tell me, how does LVM/Securepath/scsi drivers are stacked on each other? and in SAN environment?
my guess is: sdisk driver(s) manages different paths to SCSI LUNs, then goes securepath and at last LVM ontop of securepath.
Am i right?

Re: scsi "stack"

Hi,

this could be helpful:

http://docs.hp.com/en/MassStorageStack/The_Next_Generation_Mass_Storage_Stack.pdf

More about this:

http://docs.hp.com/en/oshpux11iv3.html#Storage%20Area%20Management

The stack in 11iv3 is totally different than the predecessors, but this is the future.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: scsi "stack"

Read it!

It describes the current stack of 11.31 and it compares it to the stack until 11.23.

BTW, 11.31 is present.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
