Re: SCSI: Reset detected -- lbolt: -1493114730, bus: 0

Hi Manish CSC,

Good day to you !
Check your system on this file : /var/opt/resmon/log/event.log, check on the last event to find similar issue on the particular time (compare with the timestamp on syslog).

Check also with 'ioscan -nf' to find out whether there's a device with UNCLAIMED or NO_HW status.

Check on device cb00b002 : c0t11d0

Hope this information can help.

Cheers,
AW

Shalom,

Its a sign of a disk problem.

If you recently swapped out a hot swap disk, you can clear it:

dmesg -

Then wait some time.

If the message remains clear, you can ignore it. If it comes back after the reset then you have a disk ready to fail. You will need to back any data up on it and prepare for replacement.

My suspision is that disk c0t11d0 is on its way out.

Re: SCSI: Reset detected -- lbolt: -1493114730, bus: 0

ioscan -funCdisk

if any disk show UNCLIMED is needed to change disk.

In case you do'nt have any SCSI-attached disks i.e. all disks are fibre channel; check your tape drive, if you have one for errors:

# ioscan -funC tape

~hope it helps
