Re: secure path for 3.0e update to 3.0ef

Ibrahim,

Are you trying to install the full version or the "Secure Path V3.0F for HP-UX Software Update" ?

Re: secure path for 3.0e update to 3.0ef

I have a similar situation. I have an N4000 w/SecurePath 3.0E connected to an EVA3000.

I upgraded it to an EVA4000 and now only half my paths are available. Is this because I need to upgrade to 3.0F?

Does 3.0E not work at all with the HSV200 controllers?

Re: secure path for 3.0e update to 3.0ef

Hello Ibrahim,

Use this procedure to install securepath.

While installing securepath 3.0e,which open you selected ?
option 1 or 2?

You have to select option 1 that is "Secure path for VA"

then do the installation of 3.0f update and again select option 2.That is "Secure path for active-actvie arrays"

i think this will solve your problem

cheers!!

Re: secure path for 3.0e update to 3.0ef

I like you already had SP 30Fsp1 installed for active passive devices, and then I bought a EVA8K, and had the same issue. Support after a thorough but kicking found the full 3.0F cdrom, and sent to me. I then installed the 3.0F active-active, rebooted and then applied the 3.0F sp1 active-active, and a reboot. You need to apply the heat to get it, becuase it is server based licensing and you are entitled.
