Security in communication (HP & Solaris)

I have a HP9000 cluster running service guard and also have some solaris servers. I want to enable secure communication among all of them. Some recommended to use "/etc/cmcluster/cmclnodelist" but solaris does not have this, others say to use .rhosts on all of them but isn't too risky ??...what should be the best way to enable secure comm. ???

In a world without walls there is no need for gates and windows...

Have you looked at using secure shell?

I personally use ssh. You can get it for just about any platform.

www.openssh.org
www.ssh.com
When a sys-admin say's maybe, they don't mean 'yes'!
