Have you used the 11.x version ?
Since the program is in Perl and it appears HP is just downloading the security text they want us to read, doesnt' seem like it is too great a "backward" jump. I do believe there are still thousands of 10.x sites out there.

Unfortunately, that's not the hard part for
HP-UX 10.20 functionality.
Software Distributor (swinstall / swlist)
added some capabilities to the IPD
(Installed Products Database) in HP-UX 11.00
to record additional information about
installed patches, which Security Patch
Check needs to determine if a vulnerability
is not already addressed by a patch
installed on the machine other than the one
reported in the bulletin.
Security Patch Check doesn't support 10.20
because it relies on features of SD that
aren't available in 10.20.

i gather the required mods for sd will not be pushed to 10.2 ?
has a time frame bee set when 10.2 support will be pulled ?

That's correct. Patch management and
structure changed significantly between
10.20 and 11.00.
