Re: security patches

Hi Oren,

HP-UX SWA is a command-line based tool that consolidates and simplifies patch management and security bulletin management on HP-UX systems. The SWA tool is new for HP-UX releases as of January 2007, includes Security Patch Check (SPC), and is the HP-recommended utility to use to maintain currency with HP-published security bulletins for HP-UX software.

Re: security patches

Nothing new to add except that the direct link to Software Assistant (which includes Security Patch Check for backward compatibility only...you should use the "swa" command) is:

https://www.hp.com/go/swa

Synopsis:

swa report # tells you what you need to do
swa get -t /path/to/mydepot
# makes a depot so you can install all the patches from it

Hope that helps
