I seem to be having network issues with my server but don't know how to tell if it is really a network issue.
A500
HP-UX 11.i
A few times today we could not telnet to the maching, hte syslog shows:
telnetd[21008]: getpid: peer died: Error 0
This is logged several time which seem to coincide with the problem.
Any ideas?

Re: seem to be having network issues
Hi Alan,
there are different ways to approach this issue.
First of all it would be interesting to see if telnet times out or if you see an error message.
Then you can always try to rlogin to see if that gives you grief as well. If rlogin, remsh, telnet, ftp etc. all show problems then you can troubleshoot the network further. If you only see issues with telnet then you need to troubleshoot the telnet command further.
Get back to us with more details and we are happy to help.

Re: seem to be having network issues
Turned out to be a duplicate IP address on the network.
