Segmentation Fault..while compressing the file


Hey,

I am getting segmentation fault while compressing a tar file.

It just displays segmentation fault..and a compressed file is created.

Is this file ok or i need to debug it...

please help.

Sunil,

What is the OS version and did you use compress or an other command.

Hey,

The o/s is Linux 2.4.9 -e 40. i tried it again and same fault.

it just displays Segmentation fault.

You posted in the HPUX forum.

You could check the file and directory permissions.
