Make sure you have correct name of hostname defined in /etc/mail/sendmail.cw

In /etc/mail/sendmail.cf, make sure you have the following macros configured properly (you may not need to set a smart relay):
# my official domain name
Dj$w.yourdomainname.com
# "Smart" relay host (may be null)
DSmail.yourdomainname.com
