send mail problem

Hi!

I cant receive any mail from hp-ux host.
for example I write
#echo something |mailx myemail@mailserver.ru

what sendmail file I need to configure?

What does /var/adm/syslog/mail.log file say?
Can you resolve the address myemail@mailserver.ru

/usr/sbin/expand_alias myemail@mailserver.ru

How you have configured /etc/mail/sendmail.cf??

I've found it
problem was in /etc/nsswitch.conf

Hostname resolvation is done based on /etc/nsswitch.conf. Before making mail setup just check with nslookup / nsquery utilities to check reachablity.

Make appropriate setup in /etc/hosts and (or) /etc/resolv.conf to give host->ip and ip->host resolvation.
