Sending snmp trap from HP-UX
How could I send a test snmp trap, as with snmptrap from Openview, from a HP-UX node, without Openview being installed on it (which contains snmptrap binary).
Is there a standard HP-UX binary to send traps. What is its path and man page.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Sending snmp trap from HP-UX
My initial thought is to start at /etc/rc.config.d/SnmpTrpDst
The stop and restart all the /sbin/init.d/Snmp* services.

Re: Sending snmp trap from HP-UX
My second thought.
Configure EMS to send snmp traps for HW faults.
/etc/opt/resmon/lbin/monconfig is the config menu.
Then reconfigure or create new monitor so all services alert via snmp. Will need to investigate where the trap from EMS is sent, locallay or configurable ?
