Sendmail Configuration Quistion
Hi,
I want to configure the sendmail such that, it sends "only one" mail to a user, who is in more than one alias.( i.e. when the mail is sent to all the aliases, to which this user belogs to.)
Is this possible?? if so, how ??
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Ramesh.K.R.

Sorry.

Re: Sendmail Configuration Quistion
Hi,
I don't really understand your question. If you have two or more aliases which contain the same user (independant if this is a local or remote user), the mail will only be sent once!
How do you alias by /etc/mail/aliases or do you mean forwarding by .forward files?
Kind regards,
Birgit

Re: Sendmail Configuration Quistion
Hi,
Thanks a lot Armin. I was also of the same openion. But, i wanted to check with the experts, just in case.
Birgit-- Armin has perfectly understood my quistion. Actually, i wanted to know wheather a user can receive "only one" mail, eventhough he is in many aliases. Normally, if you are in many aliases, and the mail is sent to all these, you will be getting so many copies of the mail. This i wanted to avoid, if it was possible!!
Thanks & Regards,
Ramesh.K.R.
