sendmail

Can anybody help why mailx is not working?
This is what I type at the prompt.
mailx -stest myusername.com < cat filename

Hi Richard,

I do the command first & pipe it into mailx - as follows:

cat filename | mailx -stest myusername.com

otherwise you get a "cat: cannot open" error msg.

Thanks all for the input. I think I guess what the problem is from mail.log. It has to do with my DNS server. It was changed. Thanks all.

Richard,

You don't have to use cat when redirecting a file. You can just run the command like this.
mailx -s test myusername.com
