Welll done. You only forgot to visit me at my pyramid in your rush to climb the mountain. Enjoy the view, and I'll see you there in about two years :)

Don't forget to ENJOY once in a while.

Many thanks again in your support for my site, hope to see you around for a while, now that the drive to get the leaves is over.

Re: SEP is "Branching Out"

As in the other threads, thanks to all who take the time to assign points.

I began my participation in these forums, quite by accident, making a suggestion in an old thread. That was August 2, 2002. My first points were shortly thereafter and clearly were charity points because I did not understand the problem in that thread.

I'd found the itrc search useful and been encouraged by several HP support center employees to check out the forums. I think it was one of these links from the support center that got me started.

I had over 100 points before I even knew what the point system was.

On 12-11-2002 I made pro and got my baseball cap. Thanks to U. Sivakamar for creating that congrats thread. Suddenly I became motivated. Less than a year from Pro to Salad. I think I need to rest, take a deep breath after that sprint.

John Poff did my wizard's thread. Thanks John. 1-23-2003. He also did my Royalty Thread. Thanks for that too on 2-27-2003.

The heat of the Dunes shined down on my on June 5, 2003 when Pete Randall started the thread, which I had a lot of fun with because I was on vacation that week.

I perceived myself and perhaps was perceived by others as something of a "punk" in the itrc forums. Trying questions that I should not try, having a pretty low bunny to post ratio.

I now suddenly feel more responsible. A year ago, I was more likely to take advice from a salad head, and I'm sure others do as well.

I will do my best to uphold the fine tradition on Mount Olympus, and encourage others to follow my tracks.

Though there are less beer bottles in my wake than say Pete or Harry, there are a few and they are neatly in recyling bins, I hope many others follow.

In two years, perhaps the top 25 will be Olympians and above.

I had a few ideas on the next hat, to give A. Clay, Stefan and Pete something to shoot for.

ITRC Galactic forumer
ITRC In Orbit
ITRC Looking for a Life

Just a suggestions.

As to my future plans:

I will slow down a bit, but I will continue to try and move fast, because I get better at my job from the experience. My servers uptime percentage is now nearly perfect, and my maintenance windows go more smoothly because of having this resource to draw on.

When HP creates a new hat, I want to be in position to earn it. I will strive to become a better poster because I know my work here needs improvements.

Thanks to Pete Randall for setting a standard to meet and being a good friend.

Thanks to Patrick Wallek, A. Clay Stephenson, JRF, Stefan Farelly, Harry D Brown, Michael Tully, all Olympians and Pharohs for setting a standard that I've tried hard to meet.

The congratulators:

Joshua Scott - Thanks for wanting to start the thread.

Uday A. Ankolekar

Huc - thanks for the points to put me over the top. The last few days were nerve racking.

Goeff Wild - thanks for the points that put me over the top, I don't know which ones did it.

Dani Choufani - post, earn a hat. Thanks.

Denver Osborn - Hope you like STL. Thanks.

Jerome Henry - Thanks for being a friend and pushing me to work hard to maintain my Linux lead.

Jean Luc: Make it so!

A. Clay: You are amazing. I love reading your posts and I'm touched you took the time to congratulate me. You are the Master the subjects you post on.

Nelson Caporasso: Keep on foruming! Thanks

Michael Schulte zur Surl: I wonder on the origins of that name. Thanks.

Zigor: Thanks

V. Nyga: Looking to see you at the salad bar some day. Sorry about the wake turbulence. I'm a bit obsessive about lots of things.

John Collier: I think these forums have helped me improve my respect for myself. I am honored by your commentary.

Mark Greene: Fast mover. The Dunes soon? Brin it on!

Umapathy: The words you used were great. My heart is in my throat.

RNY, Thanks.

Bruno: I'm looking foward to seeing you in Hogwarts. Keep up the good work.

Shiju Wilson: Thanks for the congat and lots of intellecutual stimulation.

Patrick: Your place at the salad bar is nice. Enjoy your vacation.

Thanks to Kurt Beyers,Thierry Poels, Karthik SS.

Yogeraj: One of the best Oracle experts in itrc. Thanks.

Mark Grant: FAST mover, future Olympian. Thanks.

Mr. Tully: I've enjoyed working the night shift with you, though its your day shift.

XMan: Microsoft man, Like working with you.

Antonoiv,Victor Berridge, Robert-Jan Gossens, Lief Halvorson(Future Olympian),Chris Wilsaw, Graham Cameron, thanks all.

Massimo: Thanks for motivating me and your kind message. Future Olympian. I think so.

Alexaner Ermes: Thanks.

Merijn: Thanks for the stats. If anyone is responsible for motivating me, your weekly stats do it. I like being at or near the top.

If I missed you or misspelled your name I'm sorry.

JRF. Come home!

I will if God gives me the power to pass any Oympians knock on the doors of the slumbering noes, offer them beer or refreshment and try and lead by example.

Last and most important.

Eva, Lev, Yaira: For putting up with me. Yes Lev, Papa has the green hat!!!!

Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson: Thanks for changing my life. Your agents should lead by example just like you did.

I think I've got it all covered.

Happy foruming.

Thanks Pete.
