Server Not Responding after RAID replacement
Hi,
Hardware:
*HP 9000 Series 700 B2000 Server
*Using HP-UX OS
* RAID 5
Situation:
Led light indicated that we had a RAID Drive failure. We had a spare, and we hot swapped it. After swap, green light flashed like crazy. Assumed it was rebuilding. Walked in 2 days later and the drive next to it has zero light on.
We can't log into server, can't do anything?
Any suggestions? I can I log in? Have I lost a data?

Re: Server Not Responding after RAID replacement
You need to login to server console and see what went wrong. If system already down then boot up into single user mode and see if you can troubleshoot.

Re: Server Not Responding after RAID replacement
Hi, do you have your operating system installed on RAID LUNs? It looks like your ARMServer stopped. If even from console you cannot logon, you may need to reboot your server. By reboot the server ARMServer will be restarted. If that disk still blinking after reboot, you may also need to replace that spare disk.
