service guard lockdisk

Hello Gurus-
I had created a lockdisk and ran my checkconf etc. all was well. As it is in a test env. the fibrs cables were moved to another hba. Naturally upon rediscovery the hw addreses had changed. I vgexported the VG "lockdisk" then Pvcreated a new PV and attempt to vgimport the "lockdisk" it consistently tells me "/dev/lockdisk/group not a character device" what am I doing wrong ?

Re: service guard lockdisk

Did you:

mkdir /dev/lockdisk
mknod /dev/lockdisk/group c 64 0xXX0000

then vgimport?

Re: service guard lockdisk

I did not... will do ...thanx... i assume then that vgexport deletes the previous entry in /dev/vg*/group ?

Re: service guard lockdisk

That is correct - vgexport removes /dev/vgXX
