Service Guard Manager

I want to install Service Guard Manager for NT, and when I try to connect to the nodes where run service guard (production) I receive this message:
ERROR 0025: Unable to connect to Object Manager

I need to install another product in the HP9000 ???

Re: Service Guard Manager

Hi Daniel,

i'm not sure about that, on our hp9000 servers we have installed a product called Cluster Object Manager (bundle B8324BA). However check this out: http://docs.hp.com/cgi-bin/fsearch/framedisplay?top=/hpux/onlinedocs/B8325-90006/B8325-90006_top.html&con=/hpux/onlinedocs/B8325-90006/00/00/6-con.html&toc=/hpux/onlinedocs/B8325-90006/00/00/6-toc.html&searchterms=Object&queryid=20020326-114119
Hope it helps a bit.

Re: Service Guard Manager

If you read through teh SGMGR manual available at http://docs.hp.com you will find you need to have at least one node in the same subnet that has SG version 11.12 or greater installed.

Re: Service Guard Manager

Hi,

There is a minimum version of MC/SG that should be there on the server for you to use service guard manager. Don't recall the minimum version. But it could be SG version 11.11 or 11.12 as suggested by Melvyn.

Hope this helps.

Re: Service Guard Manager

The minimun SG version is 11.12. Just on a side note SG Manager is not really all its cracked up to be, at least when I loaded it a year ago. Maybe if they have made improvements to it may it be worth it. Was nice to play and get it working but I havent connected to it in a long time.
