Service guard problem
I have a two node cluster.( HP D220 ).
cmruncl command is exiting with error "unable to form cluster".
syslog is showing the following errors:-
1. cmcld: error during message read ( connection reset by peer)
2. cmclconfd : Unable to lookup any node information in CDB - no file or directory.
Kindly provide some solution for the same.
Regards
Benson

Re: Service guard problem
Recommendations:
1) Make sure network connections are good for the heartbeat.
2) Make sure all configured IP addresses have network cable connections.
3) Make sure ipfilter firewalls allow ping.
4) Make sure switch port settings allow ping.

Re: Service guard problem
You could have some name resolution problems as well. Try hostname resolution through nslookup command.

Re: Service guard problem
Check the connection on your nodes, make sure the communication between nodes is good (can use ping, telnet, lanscan, ioscan -nfClan, nslookup command). Also check the physical connection of the network.
Check the network configuration, to make sure there's no changes happened.
Check also the log file on the package at /etc/cmcluster.
Hope this can help.
Cheers,
AW
