Service guard
To take a server out of service guard to test fail over. This is a virtual server. Any help or know where to find some instructions.

Pull the LAN cables out.
do reboot -q,
best is do a RS or TC from MP/GSP.

To test a fail over I would "reboot -q" the node running the packages or cycle power.
On a vPar you can simulate a hard reset by
vparreset -p vpar1 -h
while you are on vpar2. (see vparsguide)
The vpar1 will not come up again (like shutdown -h).

you can do following to simulate a failover
- Power off the node on which the package is running
-run following command for both the private LAN's "#ifconfig lan1 down" to bring down the private IP and check
- Remove Network Cable
-Shutdown the system with the "#shutdown -ry now" command
- do a TC from MP prompt
