Have a look into the release notes regarding the patches and visit the ITRC patch database too.
Consider to use SWA!

Hope this helps!

Service Guard 11.19 is the latest service guard release with improvements and many new features:
Check this out:
What's new in Serviceguard Solutions for A.11.19 :
http://h20338.www2.hp.com/enterprise/us/en/os/hpux11i-serviceguard-solutions-a11-overview.html
-Also check Service Guard 11.19 features to hp-ux 11.23 and 11.31:
http://docs.hp.com/en/T1905-90000/ch01s02.html#d0e725
- Also note service guard 11.19 now supports the IPv6 hostname address family for all cluster components.

Re: service Guard?
what is the latest version of service guard ?
HP Serviceguard Version A.11.19 Supported Operating Systems For HP-UX (11i v2, 11i v3)
wat are the patches required to install in the server to run a cluster?
http://docs.hp.com/en/T1905-90004/ch01s01.html#patchA
The best way is to read the "HP Serviceguard Version A.11.19 Release Notes"
http://docs.hp.com/en/T1905-90004/index.html

Re: service Guard?
Service Guard 11.19 installation required hp-ux version : 11.23 or 11.31:
If you have earlier hp-ux version , SG 11.19 needs os to be upgraded to 11.23 or 11.31.
- See below the require patches for 11.31 and 11.23:
PHNE_35894 (Patch to enable online replacement of LAN cards & fixes ) --> 11iv3 patch
PHNE_34671 ( cumulative transport patch ) --> 11iv2 patch.

Cheers,
Raj.
