Serviceguard/CIFS

I have a 2 node service guard cluster that is hosting both NFS and CIFS services. The cluster itself is configured in failover mode. The problem that I am running into is that when I fail the node over from the primary host over to the failover node, the connections to the CIFS shares drop and it becomes unavailable until I run the below command.

I have found a workaround that if I script the following command in:

/opt/samba/bin/net ads join -S -P, then it works fine.

I was wondering if there is a way to resolve this, w/o me having to rejoin the domain each time this cluster fails over.

Re: Serviceguard/CIFS

Shalom,

Options:

automate the net ads join including password submission. This is possible.

Re: Serviceguard/CIFS

Why not simply add it to the package control script in the customer_defined_runcmds section?

My 2 cents,

And now for something completely different...
