Serviceguard/EMS/Disk Monitoring Issue

I am setting up a ServiceGuard cluster using a single lock disk as part of a volume group with two disks, one in each disk array. The idea behind this is to use the pv_summary of this volume group to signify whether a node can see the shared storage or not.
It seems fine when set up, but if one of the nodes is rebooted, the resls command shows DOWN even if all of the paths to the disks are available.
