Serviceguard for application system
Dear all:
I have a question about Serviceguard. If I run an application and database on one cluster system.
I know if there are some hardware error or database downed will cause the package switch.
Will it cause the cluster system switch If the application on the main node was suspend but not downed?
Is there anyway that can verify the application had suspend?
Best Regards & Thanks

Re: Serviceguard for application system
If the application/database are controlled by a Serviceguard package, and that package is a failover package, then there is no way that instance will also be running on another node, so there should be no reason it would be suspended on another node. If you are running the database outside of Serviceguard control on another node in the cluster then you must provide your own database state testing before letting the package start on that node.
