I need some advice on how to configure M/C Serviceguard with Oracle10G
Here some details of current server environment
-HPUX 11i V1
-M/C Serviceguard 11.14 with 2 nodes
-B5139DA B.01.08 Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit

My question is:
-When i upgrade the current Oracle9i to Oracle10G, what is the requirement for m/c serviceguard?

SolutionThese are in the latest version
http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B5139EA
If you have support contract this is for free.
But this toolkit support SG 11.16.
An update to SG 11.16 is also necessary

Re: Serviceguard Integration with Oracle10G
Pay special attention to the Oracle patch list for 10G. There are two patches released in April after the last bi-annual patch release without which oracle simply won't work.
They are properly listed on metalink.

Re: Serviceguard Integration with Oracle10G
Its simple set of scripts for monitoring, starting, stoping of Oracle. It is just a shell script that you can copy from other system and make appropriate changes. However,
(1) you do need to specify the startup, shutdown commands in haoracle_sql.sh
(2)the environment of your box in script called haoracle.conf.
(3) Process to be monitored by serviceguard should be specified in haoracle.mon.
Thanks,
Srikanth

Re: Serviceguard Integration with Oracle10G
Hi srikanth,
thnks for your reply,
I really need this shell script for me to test to my machine before get the product for my production server.
Can you or anyone provide me this script?
I understand that for M/C Serviceguard 11.14, there is no Enterprise Cluster Master Toolkit product support Oracle10g r2, so this would be more problem for me..that means i need to upgrade to M/C Serviceguard 11.16 first.anyone?
