Serviceguard upgrade questions...
Is it possible to have a "mixed" environment over time as I do my upgrades? Example: one node is upgraded while the other two nodes are at the older release. Or do I have to upgrade all nodes at the same time?
Will the cluster configuration and packages stay intact throughout the upgrade process?
Most of the databases involved are raw devices (100'S) to an EMC SAN using HP's SLVM and not Veritas. Has anyone worked with Single Node Online Volume Reconfiguration (SNOR) and does it work with HP's SLVM?
And I'd like an explanation of SLVM online node addition and deletion. I can't seem to find a doc for it, or perhaps I haven't had enough coffee.

Re: Serviceguard upgrade questions...
AFAIK, Service Guard requires the same SW version on all cluster nodes.
I think, you can exclude one node from the cluster, upgrade it (OS and SG), check that all packages work normally in upgraded environment and after that upgrade the rest of computers.

Re: Serviceguard upgrade questions...
However, I am afraid the Serviceguard OPS Edition does NOT allow for a rolling upgrade, especially as you will be going to SG11.17 with SGeRAC for 11.17
Page 8 of http://docs.hp.com/en/T1907-90021/T1907-90021.pdf specifically states:
Rolling upgrade is not supported from releases prior to version A.11.15
