Hi Gurus,

I am curious to know something about setprivgrp and it 's application.

Would appreciate your help.

setprivgrp is used to allow set permissions on shared memory.

setprivgrp dba MLOCK gives the group dba permission to locked shared memory.

It can also be set at startup time in a configuration file called /etc/privgrp

Sysadmin's of oracle HP-UX boxes need to be familiar with it.
