Setting data size (ulimit) to unlimited

A cognos Administrator working with me has requested me to set the data size to unlimited. I am sure I may not be able to do that on HP-UX. But I do believe that we can set the value of the parameter maxdsize to a max value. Does any one know what the max value maybe ?

time(seconds) unlimited
file(blocks) unlimited
data(kbytes) 1048576
stack(kbytes) 262144
memory(kbytes) unlimited
coredump(blocks) unlimited

Re: Setting data size (ulimit) to unlimited

there is a very good explanation of this given to me on this thread:

in short, do you really want to let a process go hogwild on all your memory ? I sure don't.
