setting up a non-hp printer

hello...I've got an HP-UX 10.20 server. I have printers that I've setup before through jetadmin in hp, but these printers were attached to hp jetdirect boxes. The problem that I am faced with is trying to setup a Xerox Document Centre 220st that has it's own built in network card. Is it possible for me to setup this printer on my server? Or does it need to be an HP product? Do I need to attach it to a jetdirect box? How would I go about doing it? Thanks in advance.

Re: setting up a non-hp printer

Our Xerox Docucenters have there own admin tool called xpadmin, that contains all the drivers and the setup tool. Not all DocuCenters need them, but you may want to check on that

set it up using SAM as a remote printer:

You only need to know the 'remote printer name' which might come from your CANON documentation.
If not known try 'internal'
