Settings: GSC add-on Fast/Wide SCSI

How do I change the SCSI ID settings on a
"GSC add-on Fast/Wide SCSI" from SCSI ID 1 to 7. If there are dip switches, I don't have documentation on how to set.

Hi Brian

Are you on the Jamica Box . In that case there are DIP switch Bank at th back of each disk slot , and you can use the binary table for the required dip switch .

Like 0000 ---> id 0
0001 ---> id 1
1111 ---> id 15
0111 ---> id 7

Re: Settings: GSC add-on Fast/Wide SCSI

there are dip switches on the card.
What you can do, rather than rooting out a manual is,

1 power off
remove all scsi cables
remove IOX
remove card
experiment (there's only 16 possible!!)
I think it standard binary 0110 =6
replace (all but scsi cable)
reboot
ioscan -fnkH8/0
you then look at the initiator ID.
The initiator is the SCSI card.

PS do not hot plug scsi

Later,
Bill
It works for me (tm)
