sftp account
Hi,
When i use ftp on ftp account, it works fine. But when I use sftp on the same ftp user account, it aborts. I guess there must be some setup difference. My question is, how to create sftp account with no shell just like creating restricted ftp account? I don't want that user to be able to login with shell.
Thanks.

Re: sftp account
Plain ftp and sftp are two different things and work totally different.
You will have to set up secure ftp in order for it to work.
You can have the id with the default shell as /bin/false
If you are referring to chrooted sftp account, here is something that you might want to read
http://docs.hp.com/en/T1471-90011/ch01s12.html
thanks
