SFTP connection problem to other remote server

Hi,

I am not able to connect the client remote host server through SFTP earlier i was able to connect. We have exchanged the public key.

$ sftp -v host@test.com

Connecting to host@test.com...

OpenSSH_4.1, OpenSSL 0.9.7e 25 Oct 2004

HP-UX Secure Shell-A.04.00.000, HP-UX Secure Shell version

Just want to know that the problem is not from my end but the problem is on client remote host.

in the first place ,it made me think like remote site sftp service disabled.

did you test with another remote access utility like telnet, recommend this for test purpose;

# telnet host@test.com 25

what is the response ??

   What did?  This?:

   Terminology:  Your system is the SFTP client.  The remote system is
the SFTP server.  To avoid confusion, you should probably say "customer"
instead of "client" when talking about a remote system owned by someone
else.  (Or just say "remote".)

   I'd guess that the problem is on the server, but looking at the
system log file(s) on the server would be more reliable than my guesses.

   "host@test.com" with Telnet?  Really?  (And even for SSH, "host@",
not "user@"?)

   And, of course, hiding the details my be useful, but it can also hide
the cause of the problem.  For all we non-psychics know, you should be
doing something more like:

      sftp -v user@host.test.com

   If you say so.  (But I'd rather see the evidence than trust you.)
