SG Upgrade question

Hi,

We have SG 11.15 running on HPUX 11.11

can we upgrade to 11.16 using a patch or we need to downlaod it and upgrade it? if we go with the latter do we have to purchase it or we can just download it and install it since we have the MCOE installed?

Hi,

i) You can't upgrade to 11.16 using just a patch. You have to install the new version of Serviceguard.

ii) If you are licensed for MCOE and have an active support contract, you should be able to download Serviceguard 11.16 via Software Update Manager in the ITRC. If you have no active software support contract, you aren't entitled to the upgrade.

Patch will not upgrade u service guard version 11.15 to 11.16.

patches are using to fix the bugs.

service gurad 11.15 is not applicable for 11.16 and vice versa.
