sgmgr delegate authority?

Is there a way in serviceguard to delegate administrative authority at some level? I would love to be able to delegate the authority to start/stop/move certain packages. Seems this would be part of the product, but maybe not.

Thanks,
-chad

Re: sgmgr delegate authority?

What version of SG?? you make use of /etc/cmcluster/nodelist file or put it in pkg.conf files.

Also you can use sudo for sgmgr.
Get sudo here.

You can run sgmgr under sudo...

Re: sgmgr delegate authority?

Yes this is available with the latest version of SGMGR (Currently 4.x)
You can set up Roles and Responsibilities.
Documented in the manuals.

Agreeing with Melvyn, Role-based-access has come to Serviceguard Manager at version 4.0

What's in 4.0?

Re: sgmgr delegate authority?

I think that's what I needed!

Now I just need to upgrade from 11.15.00.

Thanks for your help.
