SHA11i3, LongPassword seems to have broken Proftpd

I just recently installed the PHI11i3 (SHA11i3) and LongPassword.  Since this was installed no one can ftp into the server.  We are using Proftpd and the logs only show incorrect password.  Anyone have any ideas?

A quick update.  It seems to be Shadow password that breaks it.  I had uninstalled HP11i3 and LongPassword and ftp still didn't work.  I was however able to get it working again after running pwunconv.

 

Has anybody else been able to get these to work?
