shadow passwd

hello,
i have hpux 11.11v1, i have install ShadowPassword,i have enabled with pwconv, i verify that in nsswitch.conf the ligne passwd is set to files . when i convert i haven't error all password are moved to shadow file but when i test connection, i cannot connect to system
please can you help me , if you have any ideas

when i execute pwck and gpck a have'nt any error, when try to connect to the system after connection, i have access denied

Are the perms on /etc/shadow correct?? (at least read)
How does nsswitch.conf look like??

hello,
in syslog i have the following errors:

sshd[6360]: error: PAM: No account present for user
sshd[6360]: Failed password for root from 10.5.4.160 port 3726 ssh2
edcte10b sshd[6500]: Did not receive identification string from 10.1.6.50

permission for shadow file is 400

in nsswitch.conf :

passwd: files
shadow: files
group: files

Are all users not able to login or just few users??

Also in sshd_config, have set usePAM to yes??

Are you able to login as normal user and do su to root? If you are having normal accounts without this problem then try out that scenario. May be a problem with crypting.

Dear all,

i have usePAM set to yes, all users cannot connect to the system, but when i open session before the conversion and i try with telnet the connection is etablished , because before i had tested with ssh, but all my clients connect to my system using ssh, what can i do
