Re: shared oracle apps from node 1 & 2
one way is using nfs. But in this case you must consider some parameters like performance, etc..

Re: shared oracle apps from node 1 & 2
Now I want to shift my application on SAN (RAW) and want to share it from both HP UX servers witout using NFS.
Is there any solution?

Re: shared oracle apps from node 1 & 2
are you using LVM?
you can activate the VG in exclusive mode (r/w) on node1 and in read-only mode on node2. For read-write access to both nodes you must use NFS.
Unix operates with beer.

Re: shared oracle apps from node 1 & 2
All you need for a RAC shared application is RAC. You don't need SG unless RAC requires it, which newer versions do not require.
CFS is a high availability file system, but RAC can mount shared storage with the volume group in shared mode without need of any products.
Oracle has OCFS2 file system for RAC Linux. They might have an equivalent for HP-UX as well.
