SharedX on NCD X Terminal ?

Hi all,

I was using SharedX to display X11 windows on several X terminals and this worked fine as long as I used HP Envizex X terminals and HP-UX 10.20.
HP is no more selling its own X Terminals but the NC400 and NC900 from NCD. The X server of these terminals does not allow SharedX to be launched...

My question is : is there another software with the same functionalities available for HP-UX 11.x ? I tried an old version (1.0) of XMX found on the web, but I was unable to obtain the display on other X terminals. The newer versions of XMX do not seem to be ported on HP-UX.

Any help would be appreciated !

Hello Jean,

not really the same, but as a sometimes usable
substitute you could check VNC (in "-shared" mode).
You get it form "http://www.orl.co.uk/vnc".

The new URL for VNC is http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc and no HP-UX compiled version is available.

I have a temporary solution for my problem : configure the SharedX server on an HP X Terminal. In this case, the SharedX clients work on NCD X Terminals.
This configuration is suitable for me as I need one master screen and many "display only" terminals.

Hello Jean,

as long as the old URL is working, I am going to use it,
as it is much shorter ;-)

If go there (just do as you are told) and continue with
"Contributed" and "New Platforms" and "HP/UX" you
should find a binary, which is working on my 11.00.01
systems, at least!
