shutdown info missing from rc.log

1 shutdown is issued via cron shutdown -r -y 0
2 last mesg in OLDsyslog.log is syslogd: going down on sig 15
3 modt of our hp systems log shut and start info

THere is a file called /etc/shutdownlog which will log the shutdown data.

Hi Frank,

In order to determine if shutdown really did 'shutdown' not 'reboot', would you be able to monitor the console and see if the output of the shutdown messages are being displayed?.
