SIM 4.1 (SP1) and Service Guard Manager for HPUX 11i
I have installed Service Guard Manager (B8325AA) A.04.00 onto my HPUX servers running HPUX 11i.
I have installed SIM 4.1 (SP1) onto my Windows XP box and I am able to pull up various web-enabled products like SDM fro my VA7110 array. I also have a link to run an integrated console for HP ServiceGuard Manager. However, when I click on this link I see the server and the 'Tool Launch OK?' column contains 'Yes' for the server. When I click on the "Run Now" button, I recive a message stating that ServiceGuard Manager is not currently installed.
Is this a problem and what can I do to fix this?

Re: SIM 4.1 (SP1) and Service Guard Manager for HPUX 11i
Have you installed Serviceguard Manager onto the Windows system? it needs to be there for SIM to launch it locally
My house is the bank's, my money the wife's, But my opinions belong to me, not HP!

Re: SIM 4.1 (SP1) and Service Guard Manager for HPUX 11i
Yes, I have installed it locally as well.
In fact, here is the message I get from SIM when trying to run it.

HP Serviceguard Manager is not currently installed.
Serviceguard Manager is a multi-platform, Graphical User Interface for monitoring and administration of MC/Serviceguard clusters on HP-UX and Linux. The product is localized into Japanese and English and comes with extensive on-line help. For additional product information, select high availability from http://software.hp.com to obtain Serviceguard Manager. Release notes are available from the HP Documents web site, http://docs.hp.com/hpux/ha/index.html.
Note: After installing Serviceguard Manager run 'mxserver -x' followed by 'mxserver -s' at the command line.
Doing this will allow you to run Serviceguard Manager through the Systems Insight Manager user interface.

I have run the 'mxserver -x' and 'mxserver -s' as well from the Windows command line and this has changed nothing.
