simple fbackup script q

I usually use sam but wanted to script a couple quick and easy backup processes for operators/users.
The script generates this msg:
Error: you must perform a full archive before an incremental backup

this works from the command line but not from a script:

/usr/sbin/fbackup -f /dev/rmt/1m -0 -i /usr_dir

so simple, but it fails.

What am I overlooking?

Hi Doug,

I've attached a script that can be run
from cron or in fact anywhere, it uses
'fbackup'.
