Simulate HTTPS connection in command line
Hello:
I am interested in monitoring a secure web server but I don´t know how to simulate a request to it. I can make it using a java program but is too heavy to use java to monitor a process. Does any of you know if there is any perl script or something that simulate a https request.
Regards,
Mario

Re: Simulate HTTPS connection in command line
This is an ideal use for lynx, the character-mode browser: http://lynx.browser.org/

Re: Simulate HTTPS connection in command line
Perl can do it with the right modules around, or you can get a copy of curl which tends to hitch a ride with libcurl. Perl should be there on contemporary HP-UX installs. Curl/libcurl may be part of the Internet Express bundles (software.hp.com)
