SLDT H/W compression not happening
Hi
We had a N-Class server running on HP-UX 11 and a DLT Library (ATL) with a Quantum Super DLT Drive(120/240 GB). We are using Veritas Netback up for backup. SDLT is taking only 120 GB, i.e. it is not doing the compression. Using STM I found that compression is disabled. Please find the attached output of STM. Is there any way to enable the compression.
Thanks in ADV

Re: SLDT H/W compression not happening
Hi Rajesh,
The devicename of the tapedrive determines if HWcompression will be used. Use a devicename like *BEST to enable HWcompression.
