Slower Telnet

hi,all
I have a SUN WS in my lan,ws and host are all in a lan by switch and hub.Every time try to telnet the HP N4000 on it,it is too slow.
after I enter ID and Password, the host may response immediatly, but stop at "checking for disksd quotas" and long long wait. At end the login always maybe stop as "time out".

What is worng? How can i do now?
thanks

Do have an NFS filesystem as a home directory? You may wish to look at this posting. It maybe of assistance.

Re: Slower Telnet

Hi,

Check your /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log for any hardware errors such as disk errors since your last reboot.

Instead of telnet, try login at the console using the same account? Is it equally slow?

What about when you login remotely as root which doesn't use /home ? Is it equally slow?

Hope this helps. Regards.

Re: Slower Telnet

sorry for forgetting notify that only that WS login slowly, any other one has no problem about it even same id. But all in one lan. any id using to login on the SUN ws is slowly, root also is.
